Serve/Volunteer

We appreciate the many volunteers it takes to help our sales run smoothly. All of our workers are volunteers who have the opportunity to shop FIRST! Volunteering is also lots of fun. You, too, may be a Monkey's Kloset volunteer.

Volunteers help with setting up racks and tables, with item check-in on Drop Off days, straightening, organizing and customer service on sale days as well as with the item Re-sort in preparation for Pick Up.

Husbands may also volunteer! We need men to help with set up, clean up, floor security and helping shoppers with large items during our Monkey's Kloset Sale. In order to shop at the presale and earn the extra 5% from your sales, you will need to volunteer yourself or your husband. All shifts will be filled by first come, first serve.

We have a new volunteer registration system. Click on "Worker Registration" . If you have consigned with us in the past use your consignor number to log in. If this is your first time using our new system click on the prompt at the bottom of the "Worker Registration" screen to get your password.

You do not have to be a consignor to be a worker. On the "WorkerRegistration" screen then click on "Register as a Worker" and fill in the form. Choose your first or last name or initials for your "preferred user ID" and anything you choose for your password. After you "Register as a Worker" then you may choose the shift you wish to work. You are not signed up for a shift until you choose one and receive a confirmation.

The system is very user friendly. Your requests will be responded to via email immediately. You may also "unregister" and/or re-register for a different shift through the system. You do not have to contact us to change your shift.

Bartering Opportunities

If you have a service, product or a skill you would like to exchange for Advertisement or Volunteer hours (so you can shop early). All offers will be considered, but we reserve the right to refuse any offer. We encourage you to act quickly as bartering opportunities will be given on a first come, first serve basis. Although the possibilities are endless, we thought we’d offer some suggestions to get the ideas flowing. Take a look at the following list and email us back.

We are looking for:

• Carpentry (to build clothing racks and shelving units)
• Photographers (capture great moments and our events)
• Material distribution (promotional items at schools, churches, community organizations, etc.)
• Advertising opportunities (ad space in publications, banners on websites, etc.)
• Large-scale printing (business cards, flyers, signs, banners, etc.)
• Supply donations (paper, markers, etc.)
• Logo items (custom t-shirts, aprons, etc.)
• Find our next location (Set up a location with enough space for our next sale)
  

FUNDRAISING

This is the easiest way to add to your budget - our postcard drive. Distribute our postcard to the members of your organization. They bring the postcard and shop on the Saturday of our event and "Monkey's Kloset", will donate 5% of their purchases made during that time to your organization. You can also distribute the postcards to your local daycare, pre-school, moms group, pediatrician, coffee shops, or anywhere else you are frequently with your children. You do not have to be a consignor for this opportunity. Email us for more information.
